Some creative soul made a trailer for the book. Across America, a mysterious pathogen transforms ordinary people into raging killers, psychopaths driven by a terrifying, alien agenda. But because the characters are cartoonish and the terrible decisions are so obviously planned to happen, it is all very blunt. Contagious — Sequel to Infected. What happens to Perry? Scott picks up where he left off in the first book and takes you on a wild action ride again.
No, now Perry must deal with the guilt over what he did while under the influence of the Triangles, including the murder of his friend Bill. Whatever skills Sigler has gained as a writer in this second volume, he undermines with casual sexism, racism, and homophobia. A great read for sci fi action lovers anywhere. I enjoyed his books, but they’re definitely for a distinct audience.

I started out thinking this was a three-star book, then it grew on me, and the ending chapters really helped take it up to four. I was wondering how the author was going to get to the 3rd sequel given how the second book was developing and although I didn’t expect him to go that route, I kind of feel like it was a bit weak for that link I am listening to this series on audio.
But slgler book does not embrace its ridiculousness. Three and a half stars, actually. It is about triangles that embed themselves under the skin of unsuspecting human hosts, grow, and pop out killing the host, of course as ugly little creatures that are intent upon building a gateway of sorts for others from their planet to come.
Bad things keep happening to the good guys and you wonder how they are going to get out of it. Also, it delivers a satisfying ending that ties off every major plot point save one, thus leaving an opening for the third book. Dec 28, Tina Saldiran rated it it was ok. Picks up where the last one left off and just keeps going! Maybe it’s because I have a 6 year old myself, and he happens to not be a sociopath. This time his rag tag group of heroes must battle the contagion and keep it from destroying an entire city.
Vanessa tension simmers towards a boiling point. Alongside them is Margaret Montoya, a brilliant epidemiologist who fights for a cure even as she reels under the weight of endless horrors. Chelsea’s abilities continue to grow, much to the chagrin of her mother and father. There are also a few military terms here and there but it shouldn’t really bother the reader if they’re not familiar with the terminology same with the science terms.

This page was last modified on 19 Aprilat I disagree with Sarah, in that I did “get” all congagious characters and felt it wasn’t necessary to have read the first book. Dew discovers Perry at Tad’s house; he’s not pleased. So I wouldn’t mind reading couple more books by him, actually I already started searching for one of his book to be my next read.

Why did I bother to doubt him? If the contagiohs didn’t interest you, I don’t see why the latter will. Chelsea reached out to Perry, which stoked the violence at his core. The story picks up sometime after Infected, with the main character somehow kept alive and in the sort of employ silger the government. It continues the story after the military has stopped the first wormhole from opening.

Contzgious won’t be dissapointed. I need to read the first book in this series. And the actions of the parasite were interesting thanks to Sigler’s skill at writing about technical stuff.
