I loved the family life and community described in this little book, especially Fouroulou’s relationship with his aunts, who had a pretty tragic ending. It was my second year moullud French in elementary school, so, even though it took me a second or two to decipher the text, my pronunciation was effortless and smooth for i had a previous knowledge of the language thanks to all those cartoon channels i was constantly wired to.
