Still superior as an over-all guide. But, if you theoloogy to know the “what” of protestant an dreformational theology and not necessarily the “why” Packer has done the work elsewhere to draw the conclusions he draws here.

I was gripped by this book! Packer covers just about everything you could think of too when it comes to the Christian faith. Truth be told, despite its simplicity and its brevity, I honestly believe that this little gem is more valuable than most reformed systematic texts. The way it is laid out, it is best gone through slowly so there can be plenty of discussion and explanation of each chapter.
